
CLERKENWELL INTERNATIONAL MUSIC SERIES
The newly established Clerkenwell International Music Series is the first of its kind in the area of Clerkenwell, featuring a sophisticated choice of performing musicians from all over Europe. With its two to three concerts per month held on a Wednesday evening (7:30 pm), the series strives to contribute to the cultural variety of this lively corner of London, as well as to deliver excellence through the high level achieved in its performances.
The recitals are held at the Priory, a stunning venue belonging to the Museum of the Order of St John at the heart of old London.

Dr. Fiammetta Tarli
Artistic Director
Fiammetta Tarli plays regularly all over Europe, both as a soloist and in different chamber music groups, including Ofer Falk, Rohan De Saram, and her husband Ivo Varbanov (two pianos – four hands). Together with Ivo Varbanov she founded a new audiophile record label: Independent Creative Sound and Music (ICSM) Records. Highlights of her recent engagements include performances at Cadogan Hall and St John Smith Square, London, West Road Concert Hall, Cambridge, Royal Concert Hall, New Auditorium, Glasgow, Honeywell Music Room, Oxford, St Georges, Bristol, and at festivals such as ‘Brahms Unwrapped’ at the Kings Place, London, Wye Valley Music Festival, ‘Conciertos Temáticos’ in Santander, the Sofia Music Weeks, the International Chamber Music Festival ‘Konvergencie’ in Bratislava, and Piano Extravaganza, Sofia, etc. Her concerts have been broadcast by RAI and Rete Toscana Classica (Italy), Slovak, Bulgarian and Spanish National Radios. Fiammetta’s recordings (two of them with Gega New, Bulgaria, three with ICSM Records, and three more along the way) have received wide acclaim by the international press (International Record Review, Rivista Musica, Fanfare, Observer, Klassisk Musikkmagasin, HI-FI+). Her next recording projects include Mozart’s two-piano concertos (K. 365 and 242) and piano concerto K 595, Schumann’s Piano Concerto and Piano Quintet, and more. Over the next seasons Fiammetta will perform in the United Kingdom, Bulgaria, Italy, and Luxembourg.

Ivo Varbanov
Artistic Advisor
Ivo Varbanov is a leading figure of Bulgarian music and culture abroad. He is a recipient of the Ivan Vazov Award for the popularisation of Bulgarian Culture abroad, and in 2011 he was also awarded the Silver Lion Award from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. His performances have been broadcast on Bulgarian National Radio, BBC Radio, France Music and many others. In 2014, alongside his wife Fiammetta Tarli, Ivo started an independent audiophile record label, ICSM Records. Ivo has currently eleven commercial recordings for Hyperion Records, Gega New, BNR, and ICSM Records. His performances include concertos, recitals and chamber music in throughout most of Europe and in the US. Career highlights include multiple performances at the South Bank Centre, Wigmore Hall, King’s Place, Cadogan Hall and St. John’s Smith Square in London, Carnegie Recital Hall in New York, Bulgaria Concert Hall in Sofia, and Philharmonic Hall in St. Petersburg.
